Just to add to this thread on AF performance, I have been using mainly my 1v
at the circuit for the last month or so shooting motorbikes and decided
yesterday to give it a rest and use only the -3 body for the day. This is
with 300/2.8 IS + TC's. I instantly noticed the difference in tracking
ability but persevered with it as I moved around the track. I then used the
1v to compare. The 1v is definately that bit better across the board and
considerably better in a couple of situations. I was surprised as I had
thought up 'til now that there was practically nothing between them (I still
don't think there is away from the track). The only factor I am unsure of is
that the 1v had the booster with AA's and the -3 was using the 2CR5 ???? I
wasn't interested enough to bother swapping the booster over.
