Christian,
As a rule of thumb, the reflectivity of new white snow will cause the EOS 3 AE
to set the camera about two
stops underexposed. To compensate you can overexpose (compensate) 2 stops. I
have two EOS 3s and do
quite a bit of white water photography. (Same reflectivity as snow according to
AA). Being from South Florida
where an ice dam is when the icemaker refuses to spit out any more ice, I hope
this helps. You can always take
a reflective reading with a gray card and a light meter before each shot.
