Did you check your battery level? No, I'm not sure if it can die in the
middle of rewinding the film, but... I think you did say that the first
set of batteries wa ok, so maybe not... it's just the first possibility
that comes to my mind. And only. Of course it could also have something to
do with getting the camera wet, but I have no idea of that.
