I was out hiking a couple of weeks ago here in north of Toronto area
(probably not as cold as Helsinki, but still pretty cold) for 4 hours, and
had my camera under my coat. I took shots along the hike and never had any
problems, plus I figure if I somehow do trip and fall the camera is
partially protected.
BTW, fogging (condensation) problem would occur if the camera went from cold
to a warm and higher humidity environment, not the other way around (i.e.
inside of coat to outside of coat).
