Hi Jim,

The Elan 7E = EOS 7 = EOS 30 leaves a LONG leader. The free edge is
nowhere near the shutter curtains, but not long enough to reach the
wind-on spool.

Of course, it is just as easy to take the film cartridge in hand
and manually rewind the leader fully.  Saves on batteries too :-)
