You are right!
I tried it this morning, and by raising the ISO to about 1250 the camera
went into High Speed Sync by itself.
P Mode is reluctant to get into High Speed Sync, but it will do it if the
ISO film speed is high enough (or if there's a lot of light, I guess). My
guess (untested) is that It probably only does it when 1/125 would cause
overexposure with the ambient light...
Strange, since Av and Tv modes readily go to H Mode.
