While I have the -3, and AE2 before that with the 100-400, I really don't
think this is going to be a problem, maybe Julian can comment on the 100-400
/ 7e combination.
Besides, if there is an inherent problem, Canon would (and should) have done
something about it.
Side thought, I wonder if anyone would use the on-camera strap with the
EF1200 f5.6 mounted? (I won't ever have to decide)
