I don't own either lens, but I do know how to surf the web:
At the techphoto site (http://www.techphoto.org/photo/equipment/canon/lens-spec.epl)
the 1.2 gets lower ratings than the 1.8 from both the Japanese source and the French
source.
However, at photodo (http://www.photodo.com/nav/prodindex.html) the 1.2 gets a score
of 4.6 (out of 4.8) while the 1.8 gets a 4.1.
Besides weight, another thing to consider, of course, is price. The 1.2 costs $1800
while the 1.8 costs $385 (US dollars). With the difference in price you can get an
EOS 3 backup body plus quite a few meals or you can almost afford a 135/2 AND a
200/2.8 ($1600 combined)
