Bob,
    My OCSC2 has a mount on it's bottom (groove on each side) that fits into
the hot shoe of my old Yashica camera, I just tried it. Also a threaded hole
for a tripod bolt. Shouldn't it fit into any other flash shoe like what
would be on a flash bracket? Maybe yours is different than mine, or your
flash bracket perhaps has some kind of obstruction in it. You say it has no
groove. Well mine has a groove on each side for fitting into a flash shoe.
    Ok this sounds dumb, but did you turn it around the 'other' way and try
it? The grooves on mine don't go all the way to the other side. - Ok, just a
thought.
