My Omnibounce for my 380EX does not taper- well maybe a tiny bit, it's
pretty well a straight opening. The 380EX slides in about 3/4 inch and
bottoms on the plastic edge with a snug, but not tight fit. Perhaps the
wrong one got put in your package, or it's a real bad casting (tapered
sounds strange). I'd try another one before I ask for a refund. I somehow
think the Omnibounce people would not try and sell a unit that doesn't fit.
Course I could be wrong, and they made a real big mistake trying to pawn off
units they already made for another model, that don't quite fit the 420. Let
us know how it turns out please.
