The original intention of this thread got lost in a debate on firstly
whether bokeh is worth discussing/important/of interest and secondly trying
to define it.
So I'll give the original poster my 1c opinion as originally requested.
At some time I have used Canon lenses 35-80, 70-210/4 (prehistoric non-USM
push-pull zoom) 75-300, 100-300, 35-135 and presently I use 50/1.8, 28-135,
70-200/2.8, 300/4.
I like the bokeh of the 70-200 best, being soft and completely unobtrusive
(sorry cant describe it any better). I prefer the out of focus area to
attract as little attention as possible to enhance the subject (it shouldnt
compete for viewer attention), and of my prev and current lenses the 70-200
does that best.
So thats 1 vote for the 70-200; but I must admit being curious about the
200/1.8 (or was it the 2.8).
