The 75-300, though not the best lens in Canon's lineup, can produce good
results if used correctly (tripod and stop down if possible) The best lens
is inevitably the one you own. I've seen great photographs in competitions
like BBC Wildlife from 75-300 and other 'consumer' lenses. ("use f8 and be
there")
