My Elan IIe is my first SLR. When I was shopping for it a couple years
ago, my boss (and friend) at the time, who is a pretty good photographer,
strongly suggested getting a Nikon. One of the reasons he proffered was
that I could occasionally borrow lenses from him.
I think it took about a quarter-second to realize that borrowing a lense
from one's boss could be a severely career-limiting move; I'm glad I went
with the Canon.
