Since you already said yes, I think the key for this
situation is to make sure he's got the neckstrap
around his neck, and that you stay close to him. Let
him shoot a roll at the event, while you're there, but
if he doesnt' finish the roll, hit the rewind button
and hand it to him.
Under no circumstance would I let him take it away
from you to shoot.
