With all due respect, Jim, I think you're exaggerating a little. Most
of the things you're listing as "switches" are functions contained in
one switch, and the things you say you would need - your "except for"
- are actually the main physical features of the camera. I shot with
an FT for years, still enjoy it, and I find the layout of the Elan 7
to be very well thought out and intuitive. I wish the DOF button were
larger, and I wish mirror lock WAS a button or switch like on an FT.
It's a CFn, which to me is awkward.
Where the multi focal point selection feature really shines for me is
when the camera is mounted on a tripod. Otherwise I just select
center point and move the camera!
