Heheh that's a good one, Henry. However, TTL does save on flash recharge
times, and makes it a bit easier to get good flash photos. I've shot with
auto flashes too, still have some. Setting the f-stop according to distance
and film speed is not that hard. The Canon TTL seems to be pretty smart in
cutting off flash power, and I like how it automatically reduces flash
outdoors in bright light. In these cases, I really don't have to do anything
but shoot. Point taken though, if you understand the system, the results
will show it.
And Julian, as to the 'other' features of the E-TTL 'system', the only
thing I'm missing is high speed synch. I'm not sure why I'm missing it
though, I haven't really needed it. I just think one day I might need it :-)
