Hi Jim,

With my EOS 1000FN, I felt a similar resistance about autofocus.
I trusted a split-image aid rather than rely on "hunt-o-focus" :-)

Now that I have a camera that can actually autofocus (Elan 7E),
my feelings about AF have changed.  So no, I won't be trying to
hack a split-image screen into my Elan 7E.
