I find that the 3232 works great. On a monopod it's simpler, lighter, 
easier and cheaper than a ball head. And there is not problem with my 
heavier lenses: 70-200 f/2.8 and 100-400 IS (and yes, I leave the IS on 
when mounted to the monopod).
