Hi Julian,

MY intention is to drill the hole for the locking pin on the EX units (I
don't know about the EZ units). It's indeed even more interesting to have
a 1/4' tripod screw there and to be able to place a little ball head to
freely move the flash unit. There's a ball head that will fit into the
"cold" shoe.

The 330 is new, so I've no sliding troubles -yet-. All the opossite: it's
quite hard to place and to take out the unit in the plastic shoe. I was
using the OSCS2 quite stretched and it didn't move at all... I suppose
that with the time, the tripod mount will be the way to go. I just wonder
about the screw needed... where do I find it? how do I lock it in
position so it still allows for the mount to be used with a flash? All
those questions (and more I suppose) will have to find an answer the day
it's needed ;-) ;-) ;-)

I'll let you know!

Greetings,

Gerard.

PS: How do you make a macro slider from it?
