My husband was talking with one of his co-workers who happens to own an
EOS-1N. He told my husband, "If Pattie is really serious about taking
sports photos, she needs a new camera body." (Quite an understatement -- my
Rebel was a good buy for the money but not fast enough for ice hockey.) He
suggested that I need the EOS-1V, and even crazier, my husband is seriously
thinking about buying me this camera for Christmas. However, I'd been
secretly hoping for the EOS-3 with the power booster since that seems to be
(was?) the standard for sports photography -- at least with Canon.
I was thinking I had until Christmas to talk him down to the EOS-3, but I've
been doing some reading, and finding all kinds of good things about the
1V -- especially for sports. If he's serious about getting me the 1V,
should I talk him out of it?
Thanks,
Pattie
