Last year, on Reykjavik's(capital of Iceland) birthday I set out to capture
some fireworks,
my film was Fuji Velvia, 50 asa. I was quite a long way from the fireworks,
manualy prefocused, set my Rebel to bulb and f = 1/8. I used a cable
release.
I exposed when I heard a convincing boom, that is when something big
took to the air and stoped exposing when I had the feeling that I
had captured enough. The time for each exposure varied quite a bit.
I was happy with my results.

Searching for 'photographing fireworks' on google gave me lots of links,
the one below being one of them.
