It's not so much hard word as it is IMHO time consuming and not worth the
effort. Remember the overall quantity of flash you get with FP is
considerably less than is available with "normal" modes.
Recall, I swapped from a camera with 1/60 x-sync to one with 1/250 x-sync
(not FP) because the faster x-sync was vital to what & how I was then
shooting. Also, my medium format camera system is leaf shutter because I
need the facility for x-sync with faster shutter speeds than med format
focal plane systems offer. That said, I have NEVER wished for x-sync faster
than the 1/250 my 35mm system provides and have never felt the need or
wished for the chance to employ FP flash so I could shoot with flash at
faster shutter speeds.
Now, your mileage may vary. Maybe there's a reason FP should be on your
want/need list. It's never been on mine and I would not pass up a
particular camera or system due to its absence.
'What and how you shoot' is the key.
