I have the EF 20-35 and it's very sharp at the corners. Send yours back
for exchange. No way it should be soft on one side, either. Many pros use
this lens, it's a good one. Sorry you got a bad one, maybe it took a whack
in shipping or something. I do have photos with it on my webpage, but it's
hardly going to help you out with yours.
