Hi Gerry,
If you dislike the "red-eye reduction" lamp, I can predict how you
will probably feel about the AF-assist flickering flash beam!
Then again, the Elan 7 does NOT hold the record for worst performance
in low light.
EV 1-18 is an AF range that is/was common right from the EOS 600.
EV 0-18 or EV -1 to 18 are only available on the higher end bodies, and
EV 1.5 to 18 occurs at the opposite end of the market.
But there exists an EOS camera with AF specs only from EV 2 to 18!
Can anyone guess which one?
