The only Canon bodies I've owned have been 630s, 620s, and an RT - down to one
of each now. I replaced the screens in the 620s/630s with BrightScreens, and
they're plenty bright. I have technical backs on them, and really like them.
But yes, the AF is quite poor in low light, there is only one AF point, and I
would like to be able to use an EX flash to full advantage, so I will likely
upgrade eventually. They're nice enough that I don't find the current upgrade
choices particularly compelling, though.
