Hi EOS'ers,
I am currently using EOS 1n bodies as my primary body types and need some thoughts and insight from the EOS 1v users on the list. I'm considering buying an EOS 1v and would like to hear from anyone out there using an EOS 1v and EOS link software with/without any problems? Does it really help you manage film rolls any better or more conveniently? The reason I ask is that I'm considering doing a stint for the baseball season, some of the players need photo coverage and images for promo and personal use and I anticipate potentially plenty of confusion in managing the images on film as I don't know the players from Adam and no one else will either. Got any ideas? Aside from the data collection and imprint capability I'm also interested in the 1v body's cross sensor functionality down to f/4 and retaining vert AF sensor operation to f/8, WOW! This feature alone may make it worth buying at least one EOS 1v body for long shots used with an EF 300 2.8L and EF 1.4X as the sunlight goes away in the late afternoons and early evening. With the EOS 1n bodies I can only use a bare EF 300 2.8L and retain maximum AF speed and precision and would like to get at least to 400mm the 1v makes this possible without having to lug around an EF 400 2.8L, ugh! Thanks for any opinions and experience from the field with this body and data management software.
