I hate problems like that, because the service people don't have time to spend a whole week with the lens, so it can be difficult to persuade them that there really is a problem. >Canon fixed this problem last year but now, the problem slowly reapear! Perhaps Canon can reimplement the same fix, maybe even under warranty since their original repair seems to have failed (even though their repairs are normally only under warranty for six months). Did Canon's original repair only involve the lens? Did it fix all three problems that you mentioned (IS shaking; lens not detected by camera; camera locks up)? Or only the IS problem?
