As I'm quite new to this list, I'm not sure I this question belongs here;
but as there is another discussion on tripod heads going on, I encourage
myself to ask this:

I'm planning to get myself a Manfrotto 055 Nat with midiball head,
second-hand. I don't know this tripod very well, so could you tell me is it
suitable for my gear: an EOS-1N body with either 70-210/2.8 Sigma lens or
300/4L EF lens.

It would be used in nature photography, as it is designed for, I guess
(Nat=nature?). Can that tripod/head hold my camera/lens combo still, even
if I occasionally have to move it around quite rapidly.

And is EUR185 an appropriate price for the thing?

Thanks!

Petja
