If you mean that the picture jumps a bit when IS engages, I've had it happend too. Don't know if it's normal, ie. some people think it's normal that computers crash ;). Anyway, if the jump is such that it affects composition, it can be fixed with service. Mine jumped so much that the picture composition was bit different when IS had engaged compared to situation when IS was off. annoying. Normal? If it doesn't cost anything to you, have it taken care of. After having my lens fixed (hint: don't drop it. ) that behavior was also taken care of.
