Hi Alex,

Personally, I just remove the eyecups, but I wear glasses and it lets me
see more of the viewfinder display (I use a D30 and eos 3 though, not an
elan 7).  But I am responding just to say, *don't use superglue*...it
can cause fogging on the viewfinder glass just from the fumes from the
drying glue.  Personally, I would use either a dab of modeling clay or
simple rubber cement (not model cement..the kind for graphic arts paste
up), as these are both removable and should be sticky enough to hold the
eyecup on for you.  Or, if it is a nice flat surface at the top, just
put a piece of electrical tape on it.
