Alex: You've had some good suggestions but let me add one more; I had a loose eyecup with an EOS 3 I had. Seems like every time I took it out of the bag the eyecup would come off. I finally resorted to using some of that Scotch Tape that's sticky on both sides. Just take a couple of small pieces and put them on the body on each side of the viewfinder and then put the eyecup back on. That will take care of the eyecup coming off when you don't want it to, but you are able to remove it when you want to use the viewfinder cover. If that fails, get a roll of duct tape and....................
