Speaking about odd eye-cup situations, here goes mine... More than 2 year ago, I lost the eye-cup of my EOS 50E in a office party. I called them and they said they found it while cleaning and they would send it back to me... I never heard from them again and I bought the (overpriced) spare part .... A couple of months ago I went back to the same Conference Room for some trainning (no crazy party this time)... there I thought that it was a very long shot but I asked them anyway if they didn't have a eye cup (and the respective odd description). The responsible didn't understand me at all, but he asked some kind of janitor there. Well, what was my surprise when he came back with a eye-cup with 2 years of dust on it.
