They finally did the obvious thing.
The D100 makes perfect sense.
The price will be high, but the photogs have to buy into them.
Pro digicams used to be extremely expensive, so the D100 will
still appear to be a bargain.
The D1X makes no sense now. So to separate the D1X from the D100
they limited the top shutter speeed to 1/4000. This is another
similarity to Canon.

Their new SB80 flash gun seems to have a sensor build into it.
Funny, one of the key features of SLRs, TTL flash goes away.
I have heard that Canon is the only company to have TTL flash
with digicams. But they also have problems.

The Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm VR weights less than the Canon counterpart.
It also features more aperture blades. Smart move.
However my EOS 650 of 1987 can still use the 70-200 IS, even
with converters. For a Nikon F4 pro body their AF-S VR lens becomes
an MF non-VR one.

For a Nikon user with several bodies which of their three
70,80-200mm/2.8 would you go for?
