----- Original Message ----- From: "Rachid Heffels" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> What does it cost to enlarge a digital photo to A3 format compared to film ? I'd like to know that :) That's my mean reason for sticking to film really... Never had a digital photo enlarged so big (where does one do that?) so I am wondering what the costs are...
All my enlargements up to and including A3 are scanned using Canoscan FS4000 then printed on Epson 1290 six colour inkjet. Cost using top quality glossy paper and original dye inks is approx. $7 aust ( $3.50 U.S). An A3 photo enlargement would cost me $20. I actually am starting to enjoy the printing process as well for the extra control I get over the final image. I see it as the best of both worlds as I can still get the bigger photo enlargements done off the negative or trannie.
