Hi everybody, As I have read messages from many people in the USA, I would like to ask your advise (as insiders) about bringing my camera-gear to the USA in June.
In about 6 weeks I will be travelling from Amsterdam to Los Angeles via New York's JFK airport on a Delta Airlines flight. Bringing for about $12.000 worth of equipment, I don't want my stuff to be put with regular luggage in the "suitcase-department" below. For me this appears to be too much of a risk for theft. Does anyone have any suggestions in case I won't be allowed to bring it onboard as hand-luggage in the passenger department ? As I heard some rules were changed after 9-11.... FYI: All the stuff is stored in a single Lowepro Photo Trekker Classic backpack. I'm open to suggestions !
