Ciao, David. Not possible to say. What size matrix is. Bigger physical size, smaller noise. For example if there was 36x24mm size matrix with resolution 4Mpix it would be market winner and choice of many (and me too) because of picture quality. It could simply outperform in market today's 1Ds and D1Xs. There are thought that ISO100 film is about 20Mpixels. But can industry make such matrix with alike quality as Fuji Provia (just for example) or Fuji Velvia? Deep in heart I believe. But because of marketing and different reasons we have to wait 5-10 years. Help me to remember when came out D30? D60 came out in 2002. And lets make some prognoses.
