Dear Al, I would run the camera and the two 550 flash units manually. Set your camera on Manual Mode, with appropriate f/stop as measured by a flash light meter, and an appropriate shutter speed within the sync range. Set the 550s to Manual Mode, with appropriate power ratio adjustment for each one.
Set up your main (key) flash (off-to-the-side) for whatever f/stop requirement you may have for your subject. Then set up your fill (on- or near-camera) flash for whatever flash-unit-to-flash-unit ratio you desire. If you're using two 550EX flashes, one as master on camera and one as slave on a light stand with umbrella, is it possible to use a setting that would allow the slave with umbrella to be the primary light source and the on-camera 550EX fill flash? * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
