Thanks, I'll give that a try. I *think* that was what I needed to know. What I'd want, then (with my original question of having the main flash with less output than the slave flash) would be a ratio of something like 1:2 or 1:4, correct? By the way, I'm using the EOS 3 and experimenting with the 1D a bit, too.
