All camera manufacturers should probably remove the "battery indicator" on
their cameras. All they do is vaguely monitor voltage. In the old days, this
was a fairly good indication of much life was left in the battery. Modern
batteries (NiMH and LiON), as I understand it, pretty much maintain voltage
until gone. So you get NO warning on any camera.

I throw this out kind of hoping I am wrong and will be corrected since I am
just guessing on this one. I would like to hear from those who actually
study these things.
