I use the following for multiple 550EX flash: Redwing Light Stand (the one with that automatically retracts its legs when lifted and automatically deploys the legs when set down). Umbrella (which I close and strap with Velcro strips to the light stand when transporting from vehicle to site and back) Bogen Umbrella Swivel Adapter 550EX Flash and Shoe/Mini Stand (the mini stand that comes with the 550EX is what I use to attach the flash to the Bogen umbrella swivel adapter) Quantum Battery 1+ and Connecting Cord Quantum Battery Clamp (attaches to the light stand and the Quantum battery is clipped onto the clamp). Starting from scratch, this setup is pretty expensive (US $). 550EX flashes (~$400), Quantum battery packs (~$150 for the Battery 1+), connecting cords (~$50), and umbrellas (~$30), Redwing light stand (~$80), Bogen swivel adapter (~$25, and Quantum battery clamp (~$25). Great thing is that it's very portable (and wireless) for location work or in-house studio work and gives us great lighting for idividual and small group portraits.
