According to the editor, Steve Hynes, of the UK's "Professional Photographer"
journal in his November 2002's editorial, a 4/3 chip means that its diagonal is
22.5mm with rectangular dimensions of 18 x 13.5mm. He also suggests 13MP
sensors and that 300mm f2 lenses would be feasible (due to smaller image
circle), giving us the equivalent of 600mm f4 in 35mm terms. (I don't
understand his logic here - I thought f2 was always f2 unless followed by an
extender.)

When I first read his piece it certainly made me wonder whether I'm doing the
right thing by hanging on to all my EOS lenses for the day when Canon will
introduce a full frame SLR which is affordable to me, a strict amateur, at the
UK's rip-off prices. My guess is that it may well depend on how sales take off
for this new standard. If Nikon join in?...

It's overall grey outside, so back to cataloguing my slides...
