My GUESS is that Canon will not follow that new format. Also, I do not think
new lenses would be required. You just shrink the horizontal size a bit
compared to 35mm and at the same time increase the vertical size. That way
you fit a 4/3 ratio using the existing lenses. Actually, from all the
rectangular shapes a 1/1 ratio would use a lens in the most effective way.
Right?!?
