I have an Exakta with a magnear. It's a finder that
allows you to use Exakta lenses as magnifiers. The
shorter the lens the greater the magnification.
Naturally it's very convinient but after a certain
point the grain of the groundglass limits the
accuracy. I suppose that a groundglass with extremely
fine texture that would seem almost clear might be
usable with much higher magnification. Anyway, I've
found that magnifying quickly gives you diminishing
returns.
