My friend Kalpana Chawla is going up on STS-107 on the 16'th
(hopefully!). I may be lucky enough to be in the Family Viewing Area
(next to the Apollo Center; as close as it gets). I'll have my D30, but
I'd sure like a chance to try the 1Ds for this momentous event.
Unfortunately, I can't stretch to $8k to own one now. Anyone care to
point me at a source for renting? Or anyone care to rent to me :-)?
I'm in the SF area, planning to be in FL 1/14-1/21.
