Ken is correct, the ES-65 is the hood made for the Mk I lens, but the newer
one will fit as well. However, the new hood relies on an adapter ring that
makes putting it on and take it off much more difficult. I cursed it for
years until Julian once pointed out that there were two different versions.
If you can find one, I'd get the ES-65.

The hood for the early 50/1.8 is the ES-65.  Now the ES-62 may fit,
but I can't answer that one.  The 65 is specified one, and the one I
have on mine.
