Thanks Tom, For once it wasn't someone cursing at me :-) I have an EF 50mm f/1.8 and have the ES-65. I suggest that you AVOID the ES-65 because: 1) The inner plastic surface has a slight sheen (and is not lined with Rayon anti-reflective flocking) 2) The hood is deep - too deep to be stored mounted in reverse on your lens if you have a camera that has a popup flash. 3) The ES-65 is discontinued. I leave the ES-65 at home in my cupboard, and use an EW-65 instead. If you Insist on an ES-65, I suggest that you investigate the ES-65 III (intended as an accessory for the TS-E 90mm f/2.8). http://eosdoc.com/manuals.asp?q=EF50f18 Cheers Julian Loke P.S. Note that there is no Mk I for this lens: it is simply EF 50mm f/1.8 * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
