Hi Marco, I would think that should be ok. Both the Canon and the Sigma extenders have protruding front elements. I actually bought my Canon 1.4 extender from someone who'd bought it for his Sigma EX 70-200 f2.8. It seems the protruding front element on the Canon was too large a diameter to fit into the Sigma (only by a mm or two). So he sold it and bought a Sigma EX extender instead. So the other way round sounds like it should be ok. Besides, the 2x sigma probably has smaller diameter elements than the 1.4x (at least that's the way the Canon ones are....).
