I will try out the Sigma and look at the results. Well, I don�t hate tripods, but I hate to carry them ;-) Sometimes I take it with me, especially when I want to shoot a sundown or do some macro work. I hope that the IS will help me in situations with low light or when I�m exhausted after a strenous hike and my hands are slightly "shaking".
