You still didn't say exactly what you are shooting that needs a wide angle. I certainly don't think a 24 is extremely wide. If you are mostly shooting wide angle, may I suggest a medium format camera. You can get very wide and blow them up real big. A 6 by 9 Fuji rangefinder comes to mind. It sounds like all you need to go with a 10d is a 14 or 15mm lens.
