Is 24mm an incredibly wide angle lense for you? This is my wider lense and I would need a 15mm to have the equivalent angle.
Even if you still found 24mm as incredibly wide angle, I guess you can't say that about a 35mm. And for a 35mm I would need a 21mm which I don't have (as 24mm is my wider one).
So honestly, I think that even with what seems to me a reasonable wide angle lense (let's say 28mm for example) you need to change your lense (except of course if you already have wider lenses :-).

You still didn't say exactly what you are shooting that needs a wide
angle. I certainly don't think a 24 is extremely wide.

I didn't say it because you asked why I need extreme wide angles and before answering you I wanted to check if you thought that what I was using were extreme wide angles because I was not agreeing with that!

So now I can answer for my "regular" wide angles. I'm not sure my english is
good enough to give you a precise idea but here it is:

- crowd photography with perspective effect (make the guy who his looking
at the photo feeling like inside the crowd).
- landscape photography with perspective effect (first plan subject with
beautiful background).

If you are mostly shooting wide angle, may I suggest a medium format
camera. You can get very wide and blow them up real big. A 6 by 9 Fuji
rangefinder comes to mind.

I can't say I mostly shooting wide angle it would not be true, it is like half/half with regular ranges.

It sounds like all you need to go with a 10d is a 14 or 15mm lens.

That would solve the wide angle problem right. However I would still miss some zoom range that I like very much. For example for my family like pictures I use a 28-105 zoom and to replace it I would need a 21-65 or something like that. So in the end 10D + 14mm + another zoom (which doesn't exist :-) it is not anymore just the price of the 10D, so I prefer to wait either for full size captor at reasonable price *or* lower price on 1.6 captor to be able to pay for the lenses too.

I perfectly understand that people that may have different needs or more money to spend on photo equipment may buy it right now, but I personnally prefer to wait... and see :-)
